About
So, who am I? Yeah, working on that. I’m fifty – ish, a wife, a mother of two boys who are now men, a nurse, and a student - but who am I? and…that’s why we’re here. When I was a teenager, I was a badass who was ready to take on the world. I didn’t take crap from anyone. I was going to travel the world, live in some remote location on a mountain and save the environment, take a stand and make a difference. But then life happened – ran out of money for college, joined the Airforce to get away from my toxic parents, met my husband, settled down, had kids, became a nurse and later a nurse educator…and although I don’t regret a single one of those choices, I kinda lost a little of “me” with each one.
Sound familiar? If so, you’re in the right place. This is my journey to find the lost parts of me. I’ll be hiking, biking and traveling the world to rediscover the badass inside. That being said, I’ve also got to honor the woman that I’ve become, so there’s room for some gardening and creativity too. I’m not skinny, I’m really not that fit and my asthma is so nasty at times that I wheeze my way through my morning walks; but none of that really matters. I’m ready to get started. Want to come along?
